oh…. a note (esp viki!!!) all animals on the game reserve, although purchased and brought in, are all “saved”. lots of orphaned animals or animals rejected by their herds. so at first it felt a bit expensive, but then it felt pretty good to do this- feels like you are helping to support the reserve’s efforts to save the super gorgeous nannnnimals that would likely not survive on their own.

Oh my god, the story about the rhinos is heartbreaking. I’m glad you enjoyed the safari, though! I’m not sure I’d be brave enough to do something like that. Then again, I’d never be brave enough to go to South Africa at all (I hate flying)!
