  1. First of all chips are one of my MOST favorite foods on earth!!!!!! I don’t know if its because I miss you both sooooo damn much but I adored this podcast!!!!! And yes it absolutely made me want to eat chips while I listened!!! And since I cannot EVER keep chips in the house the only thing that I had close to chips to binge on were salt and pepper pistachios….. So that is what I munched on while I listened to your podcast!!!!! This sounded like so much fun besides being soooo yummy that I think we should do this as a family activity while you are home for Thanksgiving!!! I also loved the special thoughts of Boofy D!!!!!!!

  2. I cannot wait to hear this. I went through the same chip experiment in Russia. Parsley was my favorite; I was also fond of crab. My least favorite was mushroom.

  3. You forgot the Niknaks!!! Crisis! Best Chips In South Africa. (Some – I – might say in the world.)

  4. “They spelled ‘flavoured’ with a ‘u’ — sonofabitch.” = MY FAVOURITE.

  5. There were chips called “Masala Munch” in India that I miss so much. I have a friend going back in November and I am sending her on a mission to get me some!

I liked this series a lot. Maybe you could do it with different kinds of candy? Or coffee/tea? Maybe this is India specific but there were a million interesting kinds of tea there.

  6. Per Wikipedia: “Simba is presently wholly owned by PepsiCo, and is the local producer of many of that company’s Frito-Lay brands.”

And “Piri-piri sauce (used as a seasoning or marinade) is Portuguese in origin and “especially prevalent in Angola, Namibia, Mozambique and South Africa”. It is made from crushed chillies, citrus peel, onion, garlic, pepper, salt, lemon juice, bay leaves, paprika, pimiento, basil, oregano, and tarragon.”

Nando’s is popular here in the UK, and so are weird “crisp” flavo(u)rs. My favorite is Smoky Bacon, but there are some weirder ones like Turkey&stuffing and ketchup.
