Former President Bill Clinton reportedly presided over Rep. Anthony Weiner’s wedding yesterday.
And now I will never be satisfied with any officiant we choose, because he or she will not be a former president of the United States. And he or she will not be William Jefferson MFing Clinton, that’s for damn sure.
Not a contest, not a contest, not a contest.

I think there’s always going to be some sort of comparing thing going on when it comes to weddings.
I went to one a few weeks ago where they spent $50,000 and I was shocked. I thought it was a waste and I thought it wasn’t smart. But that was just my opinion and the wedding wasn’t for me, but for the couple. And they wanted to spend $50k doggonitt!
I know people were judge-y at our wedding…I resigned myself to it and tried not to get my feelings hurt too badly.
So even though our wedding wasn’t in competition with the $50k wedding, I kept asking myself, was this or that worth the extra $40k that they spent over us. The competition thing is tough.

You have not lost at all. Yours will be infinitely cooler!
Also do you really need the poster boy for infidelity presiding over your wedding?

I hope he bit his bottom lip whilst presiding.

I wouldn’t want Bill Clinton officiating our wedding because Ryan would probably kiss him like crazy

Mr. Beagle will probably be jealous about this too.

…..or you can have someone who gets to know you and Collin and makes your ceremony reflect the very specialness of the two of you and the love and commitment you are embracing for the rest of your lives among all of your family and friends….where I am sure Bill Clinton is WAY tooo busy to ever get to know you two so I nixed the thought of calling him for you….not worth it….the person you find will be WAY better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But you CAN get a letter of Congratulations from Barack and Michele Obama! Not quite the same on the awesome scale, but still pretty darned cool.
Besides, remember that Bill Clinton (who I loved as a president) was always going off-script and was a really, really boring speaker.

I wouldn’t want Clinton presiding over my wedding anyhow. He and Hillary are still married, but his adherence to all the vows of marriage was, um, a bit loose.
I am, however, still ticked off that he decided against speaking at my college graduation. Boo.

Plus, this.

JEALOUS. of the Bill Clintonness. But – wouldn’t you rather have Darrell Hammond dressed up AS Bill Clinton? That’s a bit more attainable, maybe, now we’re talking!
